Scientific Instruments & Lab Products Manufacturers Exporters Suppliers in India

Scientific Instruments & Lab Products Manufacturers Exporters Suppliers in India Scientific instruments are usually a part of laboratory equipments, but are considered more sophisticated and more specialized than other measuring instruments as scales, meter sticks, chronometers etc.

Even though there have been long talks about laying the emphasis on the research and development in India, not much has been done in practice. On top of that, the talent poaching by the western countries and the multi nationals in India is depriving the country of its most valuable asset. Many scientific instrument suppliers echo the fact that the Indian govt. needs to look into this with utmost priority.

China’s Science Secrets -Quantum Teleporation To Soft-Matter Physics

February 25th, 2011 11:29 pm

Last year, The Daily Galaxy reported on China’s eventual goal to extract Helium 3 from the Moon. The Wikileaks extracts shown below show that China’s Earth-bound efforts in advanced esoteric science are equally impressive, ranging from nuclear fusion as a sustainable means to produce energy to quantum teleportation. Teleportation has long been a cornerstone of countless science-fiction novels, movies and television series. The scientific reality of teleportation (image left), Star Trek notwithstanding, is a long way off. Until recently it had been considered an impossibility, but with the advent of quantum teleportation this is starting to change, though slowly.

Securing India’s Science Future

While India is uniquely positioned to use technology for progress, it has in the recent past lagged behind in the quality and spread of science research. The need for a strong science eco-system based on a sound research foundation has an integral connect with India’s development as a world power.

In 2004, while reviewing the science and technology policy of the Government of India, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam said: “In a world where the powers are determined by the share of the world’s knowledge, reflected by patents, papers and so on…it is important for India to put all her acts together to become a continuous innovator and creator of science and technology intensive products.” The importance of scientific and technological advancement in today’s highly globalised environment cannot be overstated.

Science And Technology

In 1955, a national conference on science and technology was held in China, where the government voted to adopt the development strategy of “relying on science and education to rejuvenate the nation.” Only a year later, in 1956, the Chinese government constituted a special committee whose mission would be to draw up China’s first development program for science and technology. The committee in question was tasked with fleshing out the details of a long-term plan (the perspective was 12 years, i.e., spanning 1956-1967) for the development of science and technology in China.

This 12-year science and technology development program provided the basis for the scientific progress that China was to achieve during the period, including the country’s first successful nuclear test in 1964. This successful test alerted the world, as it were, to China’s technological capabilities as a burgeoning regional power, if not as an ascendant world power in the making. The nuclear test served as incontrovertible proof to the world that the Chinese people could indeed make rapid advancements in science and technology. Unfortunately, the 10-year socio-economic upheaval that took place between 1966-1976 seriously disrupted China’s progress along this route, inhibiting the country’s rate of achievement in some spheres, and completely paralyzing it in others.
